22 Mar Child Support Dilema
My wife and I starting fighting and our marriage started to break down around May 2015. I left my wife and kids in the family home and went out to get some rental accommodation. I had to get a place that was also suitable for my two children to be able to come and visit on the weekends.
I found it really hard to pay my living expenses and child support.
My wife paid the mortgage as I had to pay my rent. It has been so hard to pay all the credit card charges and just try and keep afloat. Then the worst happened and I lost my job. I finally managed to get work again but had a drop of income of about $20K. I paid some things but others I just could not manage to keep up.
I got really depressed and sick and tired of people ringing me chasing money. I could not pay anymore I was doing the best I could.
My wife then went to a family lawyer and I lost my equity in the house as this was legally transferred to her through the Family Court system.
I really do not want to end up bankrupt but I cannot pay any more. When I have caught up on my child support payments I will be able to pay more.
