Illness – Time Off and Mounting Bills

23 Mar Illness – Time Off and Mounting Bills

In December 2014 I became really ill and was starting to have regular days off work because I felt so weak.

Wage Drops – Full Time to Part Time

Work was understanding but eventually I was put into a part-time position that was only casual.  My wages dropped from $70,000 to $45,000. My illness will not allow me to go back to full time employment in my old job.

On the Mend – Bills Start Coming In

I am now starting to control my sickness and the medical bills have stopped coming in, however I still have to spend a fair bit on going to appointments and ongoing medications.

Mounting Travel Costs

Work has become steady but my casual position is about 60km from home which is costing me a fortune on car expenses.

Debt Agreement

Talking to the guys at Active Debt – they helped me to consolidate my date into one monthly payment.  My stress levels have dropped and I am focussing hard on getting a job closer to home to reduce costs as well.  When everything was going wrong I just couldn’t find answers it was all too hard.  Now I can plan out my time and money and life is getting a little easier.
